Dragon Disco
Dragon Disco is an encounter builder compatible with 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons that lets game masters assemble player characters, monsters, and companions. This extension brings that workflow directly into Owlbear Rodeo: import every creature in your current encounter with a couple of clicks, then track live combat data synced directly from Avrae—HP, conditions, initiative order, and more—without leaving your map.
Features
- Two-click Import - Open your encounter on Dragon Disco and keep the tab open. In Owlbear Rodeo, the extension detects your current encounter and displays all creatures (you can filter by Player Characters, Enemies, or Everyone). Click the Upload tokens button to add them into your assets without having to download files or copy text.
- Instant Adding - Click the "Add to Map" button and select the tokens you want to add (including the ones you just uploaded). The tokens will be added right into your current scene, pre-named and sized based on your specifications on the encounter builder.
- Don't have your own tokens? Don't worry! Dragon Disco can also match tokens by metadata, like creature type, allowing you to match generic tokens like the ones that come with Owlbear Rodeo. You still get all the naming and sizing benefits!
- Preview and Adjust - See a live summary of your encounter and tweak token names, counts, and sizes. Dragon Disco automatically sizes tokens based on creature size, and you can adjust scaling further if needed.
- Live Combat Tracker - Sync live combat data from Avrae directly into Owlbear Rodeo using the companion Dragon Disco Avrae Workshop alias. The Combat tab displays the current initiative order, round number, HP, conditions, and active effects for every combatant. HP bars and condition icons are overlaid on map tokens automatically. Players connected to the same scene can view the combat state; the GM controls what information is visible to them.
How to use
Token Import
- Install and open the Dragon Disco extension from your list of extensions.
- In another browser tab, open your encounter on dragondisco.com and keep it open while you work. The extension reads your encounter from local storage and will update automatically.
- When you're ready, click Upload tokens. You'll be prompted to select a folder in your Assets Manager to store your tokens. For best results with the "Add to Map" feature, store all your tokens in a single folder.
- Finally, Add to Map. You'll be prompted to select the tokens you want to add. The Dragon Disco extension will then match tokens by name and/or metadata. Selected tokens that aren't part of the encounter won't be included, so you can select everything and Dragon Disco will sort it all out.
